How Lazyfile handles your data. Effective 10 May 2026.

TL;DR

Lazyfile runs entirely on your Mac. It never sends your files anywhere. It doesn't track you, doesn't analyze your usage, doesn't connect to the internet for conversions. The only data we collect is your email if you join our waitlist, and your license key info if you buy.

2. The Lazyfile App Itself

Lazyfile processes files entirely on your local Mac. Specifically:

It does not send your files to any server.
It does not connect to the internet during file conversion.
It does not collect telemetry, usage data, or analytics.
It does not include any tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or analytics SDKs.

The only network connections Lazyfile makes are: (a) to validate your license key against the Lemon Squeezy API after purchase, and (b) to check for software updates by requesting a small version file from lazyfile.app.

3. Website Visitors

This website is hosted on Netlify. When you visit, Netlify may collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for the purpose of operating and securing the service. This data is processed by Netlify, Inc. according to their Privacy Policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking on this website.

4. Email Waitlist

If you submit your email address to our launch waitlist, we store it via Netlify Forms with the sole purpose of sending you a single email notification when Lazyfile launches. We will not share, sell, or use your email address for any other purpose. You can request deletion at any time by emailing lazyfile.app@outlook.com.

5. Purchases

When you buy Lazyfile, the transaction is processed by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC), which acts as our Merchant of Record. They handle payment processing, tax compliance, and license key generation according to their own Privacy Policy. We receive your email address and the license key info, which we use to deliver and validate your purchase.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a resident of the EU, you have the right to:

Access your personal data we hold
Request correction or deletion of your data
Object to processing or request restriction
Data portability
Lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali)

7. Data Retention

Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or until 12 months after Lazyfile launches, whichever comes first. License records are kept for as long as your license is active, plus the legally required retention period for tax records.

8. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking purposes. Netlify may set essential cookies required for the website to function (such as session cookies for form submission).

9. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will change the date at the bottom of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users via email where reasonable.
